The United States federal government has overstepped the Constitution of the united States and trampled the rights of its citizens with the complicity of an activist supreme court, corrupt legislators a puppet propaganda press. (The press passed just being biased with the coronation of Obamanation.
The New Commonwealth of Maine is a grassroots Libertarian solidarity movement committed to the return of Maine, or any other member state of the United States, to their rightful status as an independent Commonwealth free from the current unconstitutional influence of the United States Federal Government. The Original State of Maine constitution now usurped by an overreaching federal government and Supreme Court will once again become the foundation of our governing principals as a separate, sustainable Commonwealth based on local control.
This website is a call to action for the cause of government reform, to restrict the power of government and return the power to the people.
Here are 5 key examples of how the U.S. government has failed its people:
1. Federal government tax revenues as a percent of GDP has gone from 3% in 1889 to a peak of 20.9% of GDP. Current law will escelate this to 25% by 2075. Where will it be after 4 years of Social Democrats at the helm to add taxes?
2. Voting in this country is clearly divided into rural and urban voters as a result of two party rule spending years to divide the voters into two distinctly seperated groups for maximized campaign contributions. Politicians don't want to solve problems, problems keep them hip deep in cash.
3. In the founding of our country, James Madison and others clearly made the case that the power of the purse should be restricted from the government as much as possible because money is the fuel of corruption and the root failure of governments. The original intent was for government to provide minimal enumerated services, now government spending is out of control and the corruption so deep and wide spread by those who control power that it can not be stopped.
The 2009 Democrat "Pork bill" spent another $4,300 per person. The 3 R.I.N.O. republican senators should read the "constitution" , ... Remember the Boston Tea Party!
4. The courtrooms have become a place for the law with no justice. laws have been forged by criminals to give the appearance of justice but designed to protect organized crime and corrupt politicians so they can thrive.
5. Government has nearly half (about 43%) of all voters dependant on government for their income and livelihood. Direct Government employees now number over 23 million out of about 300 million Americans with a total of about 60 million employed in the public sector with another 21 million indirect subcontractors. Add to this another 39 million on public assistance and 27 million heavily dependant on social security and 20 million undocumented workers. This voting population is dedicated to government growth and the evolution of the U.S. to socialism. The current January 2008 Democratic stimulus bill is a thinly veiled plan to expand government and expand the 43% big government base to over 50%.

But now is the time it's game over for the circus we call a two party system who keep us entertained in the center ring while they steal our country from us. The Tea Party, that is every American and not an organization is here to reclaim our country and throw all of the Marxists out.
